Executive Chef – Full Time, days

The Commons in Lincoln, a premier CCRC campus within Benchmark, is looking for an experienced, full-time Executive Chef to join our Independent Living team! As a leader in Dining, your main role will be to ensure that quality meals are consistently provided to our residents. You will be part of a team of dedicated, like-minded individuals whose support and camaraderie build community, and where long-lasting relationships with both associates and residents await.
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all back-of-the-house activity including food procurement, production and food presentation.
Meet or exceed food services standards, budgetary requirements and manage kitchen operations.
Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, train and inspire the culinary staff to consistently produce a high-quality product matched with exceptional presentation.
Requirements
Education – High School diploma and culinary school degree or equivalent certificate preferred
Five (5) years of experience in a Sous Chef or equivalent role
Demonstrated interest in the elderly and knowledgeable about servicing their needs in a culinary setting
Have demonstrated back-of-the-house leadership experience
Possess excellent communication skills, bi-lingual preferred
Current ServSafe certificate or equivalent
