Business Analysis Lead Analyst
Position Overview
The Enterprise Regression Lead Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading enterprise-wide regression testing efforts that support large-scale, complex technology releases. This role ensures regression execution aligns to release readiness, risk management, and governance decision-making by providing enterprise-level visibility, insight, and coordination across testing activities. The position operates with a high degree of independence while influencing outcomes across multiple teams, platforms, and delivery partners.
Business Analysis Lead Analyst
The Enterprise Regression Lead Analyst partners closely with Enterprise Release Management, Quality Engineering, Agile Release Trains, and vendor teams to drive coordinated, risk-based regression execution. This role is accountable for establishing standards, analyzing outcomes, and translating complex testing data into actionable insights that inform leadership decisions. Success in this role requires strong enterprise thinking, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence without direct authority in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee enterprise regression testing across multiple programs, applications, and platforms
- Define, maintain, and enforce regression standards, entry/exit criteria, and execution expectations
- Ensure alignment of regression activities with enterprise release timelines and readiness milestones
- Coordinate cross-application regression and integration testing efforts end-to-end
- Analyze system dependencies, sequencing, and test coverage to optimize execution strategy
- Identify and proactively mitigate execution risks, gaps, and constraints
- Evaluate regression outcomes, defect leakage, and quality trends across releases
- Assess overall regression health and communicate risk, impact, and mitigation strategies
- Provide informed recommendations to support release readiness and go/no-go decisions
- Develop and deliver consolidated enterprise regression status reporting
- Translate complex testing and defect data into concise, executive-ready insights
- Support governance forums with clear visibility into testing progress, risks, and outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to Enterprise Release Management, QE, and delivery organizations
- Drive alignment across cross-functional, geographically distributed, and vendor teams
- Communicate expectations, risks, and outcomes effectively across technical and business stakeholders
- Identify and implement improvements to regression processes, tooling, and frameworks
- Contribute to enterprise playbooks, standards, and knowledge repositories
- Leverage lessons learned to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality of future releases
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience:
- 5 – 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Management, Enterprise Release Management, or related technology roles
- Proven experience leading or coordinating enterprise-scale regression and integration testing across multiple applications and platforms
- Demonstrated success supporting large, complex releases with cross-functional and multi-team dependencies
- Experience working in Agile or Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments with distributed teams
- Strong background in defect management, root cause analysis, and quality metrics interpretation
- Experience collaborating with vendor and offshore delivery partners in a global delivery model
- Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) and governance-driven release processes is a plus
Skills:
- Deep understanding of enterprise regression strategies, integration testing, and endto-end validation
- Proficiency in defect lifecycle management, test execution tracking, and quality risk assessment
- Ability to evaluate test coverage, defect leakage, and regression effectiveness
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights
- Risk-based thinking with demonstrated ability to assess impacts and recommend mitigation strategies
- Data-driven approach to release readiness and quality evaluation
- Ability to manage cross-team dependencies, sequencing, and execution plans
- Skilled in driving alignment across multiple stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to tailor messaging to technical and executive audiences
- Experience delivering concise, leadership-ready reporting and status updates
- Strong stakeholder management and influence without authority capabilities
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, test management platforms, and reporting dashboards
- Experience with Agile ceremonies, release governance forums, and enterprise reporting practices
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines (preferred but not required)
