As a Systems Onboarding Analyst for 3M’s Global Business Services Organisation, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Coordinating the end-to-end onboarding process for new colleagues, with a strong focus on ensuring timely and accurate computer, system, and application access setup
- Executing a structured onboarding support process, managing requests efficiently and consistently to deliver a positive new colleague experience
- Responding to access-related requests and issues, completing required transactions and taking appropriate action to resolve barriers quickly and within agreed service levels
- Escalating complex or unresolved issues to the right stakeholders to ensure continuity, compliance, and minimal disruption to employees
- Collaborating closely with functional process owners across the business, IT, HR, and other support teams to ensure onboarding activities are aligned and effective
- Monitoring service delivery against defined service level agreements, helping ensure onboarding activities are completed on time and in full
- Supporting existing colleagues with reactive access-related requests, helping to resolve issues that affect their ability to work effectively
- Communicating clearly and professionally with stakeholders, keeping requestors informed of progress, next steps, and issue resolution status
- Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities to strengthen onboarding and access management processes
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
- Experience working in a process-driven, service-oriented, or administrative support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including practical use of formulas, sorting, filtering, and lookups such as VLOOKUP
- Experience using Workday or similar systems to manage transactions, requests, or employee-related processes
- Strong attention to detail and a diligent approach to completing work accurately and on time, taking ownership for resolving discrepancies and delivering high quality data to others
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a structured environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams, including HR, IT, business stakeholders, and other support functions
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience supporting employee onboarding, access management, or shared services processes
- Experience working with service level agreements or other operational performance measures
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
- Intermediate Excel skills, including data reconciliation and reporting
- Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment
- A customer-focused mindset with a proactive and reliable approach to support
