
Swine Farm Manager
Job Description
Country View Family Farms (CVFF) is seeking an experienced Sow Farm Manager to lead operations at a 5,000-head sow unit. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for production results, team development, animal welfare, and compliance. The Sow Farm Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager and oversees up to 21 team members.
What You’ll Do

Oversee daily production and operations of a 5,000-head sow unit

Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 21 employees

Manage employee performance, scheduling, training, and development

Partner with HR and the Regional Manager on hiring and staffing needs

Conduct weekly farm meetings to drive engagement and accountability

Collaborate with Nursery Service Manager on herd health and production metrics

Execute animal care programs including vaccination and medication plans

Ensure compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, and production policies

Monitor farm budgets, targets, and continuous improvement initiatives

Develop and maintain annual business plans, updating quarterly

Participate in regional and system-wide meetings
What We’re Looking For

High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience)

Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience interpreting data and making sound operational decisions

Commitment to animal care, welfare, and industry best practices

Willingness to work Monday–Friday with some weekends and holidays
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand and move throughout barns for the majority of the day

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently (occasionally more with assistance)

Comfortable working in a farm environment with dust, odors, animal dander, noise, and varying temperatures

Ability to safely work around livestock and farm equipment
