Job Description
Responsibilities include inpatient hospital care. Manage overall treatment plan for unassigned hospital patients and coordinate provision of care by other medical/surgical specialists as needed through the referral of patients to medical specialists, social services or other professionals as appropriate. Serve as liaison with family and other physicians/programs. Ensure patient’s primary care physician is kept informed of medical condition/treatment throughout hospital stay. The schedule is 7 days on/ 7 days off, 12-hour shifts.
MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent. Eligible for Minnesota medical license. BE/BC in Internal Medicine or in final year of ACGME-accredited program leading to board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
