Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines and related equipment.
- Operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and line trucks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of power lines and equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Respond promptly to emergency outages and restore power with minimal disruption.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate work activities and ensure project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical or power line work preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Powerline Operator or similar role in electrical distribution.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
