Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for coordinating the loan documentation process
Works under general direction, but in conformance with established policies and procedures, to ensure all regulatory, legal, and loan policy requirements are met in advance of preparing loan documents for approved loan requests.
Essential Job Functions
Reviews imaging system for documentation and documentation deficiencies for internal refinance and modification requests.
Uses the Bank’s loan platform system to key information necessary to originate loan documents according to approval, collateral, and additional documentation in an efficient manner.
Maintains a daily record of transactions in process.
Communicates with other members of Loan Operations Documentation and the lending staff regarding status of loan requests, missing information needed from the lender/borrower and clear- to-close information.
Manages documentation errors to an acceptable level once notified.
Manages corrections in a timely manner once notified.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of loan terminology and elements/process required to close a loan.
Knowledge of general banking principles and federal and/or state regulatory lending laws.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to multi-task and work with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain attention to detail and complete accurate, detailed work within specific timeframes.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and help others when needed.
Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Ability to work under general supervision.
Ability to work extended hours, as necessary.
Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience with financial documents and transactions (i.e., promissory notes, loan agreements, security deeds, mortgages) preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a centralized loan documentation department, preferred
- Prior experience with TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID), corporate authority documents (i.e., Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Certificate of Good Standing), preferred.
