We are seeking a proactive and experienced Manager – Information Technology to lead and optimize our IT operations across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing IT support teams, implementing robust infrastructure, and ensuring efficient and secure technology operations. This role will work closely with internal departments to drive process improvements, optimize performance, and scale IT systems in line with Qube’s dynamic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the IT support team, effectively allocating resources, assigning tasks, and ensuring SLA-driven resolution of support tickets.
- Prioritize and manage helpdesk ticket flows, ensuring timely response and resolution to user issues and escalations.
- Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, servers, and endpoint devices.
- Evaluate and improve existing IT systems and networks, identifying limitations and recommending solutions.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of firewalls and network security systems.
- Standardize IT practices across the organization to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Perform network failover testing, routine backup verifications, and disaster recovery preparedness drills.
- Install and manage Internet Leased Line (ILL) connections, ensuring uptime and failover readiness.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices and policies to protect organizational data and systems.
- Create and maintain documentation on system configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support software tools, data access, and project-specific IT needs.
- Monitor and analyze IT performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and present regular status reports to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal IT policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in hardware, software, network administration, and information security.
- Proven experience in IT support team management, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with firewall systems, failover testing, ILL installations, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Excellent knowledge of enterprise-level IT support systems, ticketing tools, and infrastructure diagnostics.
- Ability to assess and improve existing networks, with a keen eye for identifying bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a user-focused mindset.
- Strong vendor management skills and the ability to negotiate and coordinate efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
