Agnico Eagle operates two active mining sites in Nunavut’s Kivalliq region. The Meadowbank Complex near Baker Lake has been in operation since 2010. The Meliadine Mine, an underground operation near Rankin Inlet, began production in 2019. Together, these operations support long term employment and training opportunities for Inuit beneficiaries in the Kivalliq region.
