Job Summary
The Shop Lead is a skilled, hands-on role specializing in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining
equipment to always ensure safe operation and roadworthiness of Company Fleet while organizing and
guiding a team of mechanics.
Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering and at least three years of experience
as a diesel mechanic.
• ASE Diesel Certification is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• CDL License is preferred
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate technicians.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, with long periods of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting
• Must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs.

Job Summary
The Shop Lead is a skilled, hands-on role specializing in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining
equipment to always ensure safe operation and roadworthiness of Company Fleet while organizing and
guiding a team of mechanics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with the supervision and coordination of maintenance activities for fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to maintain shop efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and ensure trucks are fully serviced and all issues have been addressed.
• Support fleet driver interactions to ensure a high level of service satisfaction.
• Provide guidance and work assignments to a team of mechanics.
• Schedule trucks for service and handles after hours calls when needed.
• Perform repairs on trucks such as replacing vehicle steering mechanisms, wheel components, transmissions, PTO’s and braking and lighting systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet and customer trucks and maintains detailed records of serviced tractor and/or trailers.
• Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Ensure cleanliness of the Shop.

• Familiar with fleet maintenance programs, warranty processes and parts inventory management.
• Proven experience in heavy duty truck repair with a solid background in diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Knowledgeable on safety regulations related to truck maintenance is essential.
