Manager - Product Support R47874

The Manager – Product Support will oversee the Aerial platform within Pierce and have connections cross functionally, including engineering and manufacturing for linked accountability from start of the bid to final truck inspections. This role will be a liaison working in the business and working on the business through partnership with the Business Unit leaders.

YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage a team of requirements managers and drawing coordinators that are responsible for the virtual and physical build of the trucks. Including but not limited to performance management, career coaching, and ensuring proper process and polices are in place to support the business.

  • Oversee key dealer and customer relationships; acts as an escalation point to handle customer issues or concerns and make key decisions on the best path forward for the business.

  • Oversee management of the schedule for the front end of the business (i.e. gates 1 thru 4).

  • Partner with manufacturing leads on problem solving and root cause analysis for issues during the manufacturing build process.

  • Manage the flow for the Aerial platform regarding committed trucks and shipping of trucks.

  • Manage revenue recognition of trucks partnering cross functionally and externally as needed.

  • Collaborate with business development and the pre-sales team on a regular basis regarding product updates and the strategic marketing strategy for the business unit.

  • Partner with the business on process improvements and best practices across platforms

  • Partner with Business Unit leader on strategic initiatives for the business (50% split between in the business vs. on the business work).

  • Partner with Business Unit leader on P&L for the business unit.

  • Collaborate with business development manager, pre-sales team, sales reps, and customers to develop processes to handle option selection using informed choice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in project management, change management or a relevant area.

Pay Range:

$103,300.00 - $177,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
