This role focuses on leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI to enhance decision-making, improve customer experiences, and optimize operational efficiency
This role focuses on enabling the business to leverage AI to reimagine business processes and outcomes, and embedding new ways of working, insights, behaviours, and operational efficiency, while ensuring compliance with regulatory
Your will own the vision and roadmap for AI products and foundational capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory

You will work closely with Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that are trusted, explainable, and impactful
The role requires close collaboration with the AI team, business stakeholders, data / change leadership and outsourced partners to drive innovation, and support decision-making through advanced analytics and AI
Key
: The successful candidate will be responsible for: AI Product Vision & Strategy Define and communicate the vision, goals, and roadmap for AI products
Align AI initiatives with business strategy and regulatory compliance
Work with Head of AI to establish AI CoE and drive platform / product capability in collaboration with federated analytics teams in Finance, Underwriting, Actuarial and Claims
Own and prioritize the AI product backlog, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic goals
Translate business problems into AI use cases with clear actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
Ensure delivery practices (Agile/Scrum/Kanban), NFRs (performance, governance, resilience, privacy-by-design), and control frameworks (quality, metadata, lineage) are embedded
Value Realisation Drive delivery of AI products through agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
Monitor KPIs and value metrics to ensure AI products deliver measurable outcomes (e.g., loss ratio improvement, leakage reduction, NB premium, campaign ROI uplift, cycle-time reduction)
Maintain product-level scorecards and dashboards tracking usage, quality, SLA performance, and business impact
Manage seamless AI product integration into Value streams (martech/Claims, etc) and Change initiatives (Modernisation, Underwriting Transformation, etc.)
Governance & Responsible AI Ensure adherence to responsible AI principles, data privacy, and regulatory standards
Integrate governance standards for data quality, cataloguing, stewardship, lifecycle management, security, etc
Support model explainability, bias detection, and audit readiness
Ensure fit-for-purpose non-functional
(performance, resilience, observability, etc.)
Stakeholder Engagement & Ways of Working Build trusted relationships with AI / Data team and business stakeholders, to prioritize demand and measure business value
Ensure clear RACI and handoffs across build/run between internal and partner teams; avoid duplication, ensure accountability
Collaborate with Product Managers to embed AI capabilities into broader product strategies
Work closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and MLOps teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and AI team
Educate stakeholders on AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations
Gather
, validate assumptions, and ensure stakeholder alignment

Essential Criteria Stakeholder influence, structured problem-solving, commercial acumen, clear communication, and change leadership
Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of the specialist area (Ops/Reg, Dist/Marketing, or Policy/Claims) and adjacent functions (pricing, risk, finance)
Detailed knowledge of business and technology issues / opportunities related to insurance, data and AI
Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and analytics
Experience in Agile product development and backlog management
Education Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field; advanced degree desirable
Knowledge & Experience Demonstrable experience of AI product delivery / ownership within insurance or financial services
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, model lifecycle, and MLOps
Knowledge of ethical AI principles and regulatory frameworks
Stakeholder influence, structured problem-solving, commercial acumen, clear communication, and change leadership
Experience applying AI & automation to enhance and support data product strategy and delivery in insurance
Experience in machine learning and data analysis, including GenAI and Agentic frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms, API driven architecture, and modern data platforms including MLOps
Proven ability to manage AI driven product initiatives, and detailed understanding of how AI creates business value and drives new ways of working / decision making
Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and analytics
Experience in Agile product development and backlog management
Familiarity with insurance industry data (policy, customer, regulatory) preferred
Ability to translate business needs into technical
