Receiving Associate

Position Details: Title: Receiving Department: Distribution Operations Reports to: Distribution Operations Supervisor Location: Hanson, KY Job Classification: Onsite FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Band: Union Shifts Available: 2nd, 3rd, 4th Job Summary ​​The primary function of this position is to process cartons to pallets or trailers in order to accurately ship the finished products to Carhartt’s internal and external customers.  ​ Inspired by Hard Work At Carhartt, the values of hard work—dependability, honesty, and trust—are rooted in the legacy of our founder, Hamilton Carhartt. Guided by his legacy and our mission—We serve and protect all hardworking people by building durable products—we remain dedicated to upholding these principles in every decision we make and every product we create.   Associate Responsibilities Unload cartons from trailer   Anchor cartons to pallets for staging areas   Accurately scan pallet to designated staging areas and/or locations     Assist in establishing and maintaining safety and housekeeping in assigned areas   Report problems in the work area to appropriate personnel in a timely manner   Adhere to company policies and procedures, including the preferred work method    Demonstrate good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy and quality of work   Utilize warehouse management system to perform selective tasks   Demonstrate honest and ethical behavior     Required Education High School Diploma or GED preferred Required Skills & Experience Ability to use a manual pallet jack   Average hand/eye/foot coordination    Ability to read fine print for extended periods of time    Ability to positively interact with other associates    Ability to adjust to doing multiple tasks    Ability to work in a job with precise tolerance and standards    Ability to work 10 or 12 hour shifts    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Strength: Medium   Movement: Balancing, stooping, climbing, crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity   Hazards: Proximity   ​​This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities.  ​​Carhartt is a tobacco free workplace.    #LI
