CRUCIAL MRO is now hiring full-time A&P Technicians at Southern Illinois Airport (MDH) in Murphysboro, Illinois—join our team!

*Entry-level and newly licensed A&P graduates accepted upon meeting all requirements*
- The Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic is responsible for the day-to-day aircraft maintenance activities, including aircraft preservation and letter checks.
- Hired applicants will be responsible for reporting to their immediate supervisor for the accomplishment of all work assigned in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements and specifications established by Crucial, its customers, applicable government agencies, and the manufacturer's manuals.
- Perform regular system inspections
- Maintain systems and equipment
- Use gauges and diagnostic tests to detect malfunctions
- Repair or replace broken aircraft parts
- Perform troubleshooting
- Keep maintenance and repair logs
- Use power and hand tools
- Understand and apply guidelines from manuals and blueprints
- Ensure compliance with regional safety regulations
- Collaborate with other mechanics and electricians
- Experience on CRJ900, EMB 135,140,145 and Boeing B737 is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Heavy check, sheet metal and composite experience is a plus!
Minimum Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places
- Be able to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
- Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals and exposure to loud noises
- Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information
- Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required
- Must have Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a current, valid driver’s License
- Must have a current, valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
