The position can be based in our Pleasanton, CA office OR Boise, ID location. We currently require employees to work onsite Monday through Thursday to support collaboration and engagement. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this role.

The Merchandising Services Department has an opening for a Data Governance Analyst.
- Investigate and resolve business and system problems and perform root cause analysis
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand the impact of data and process changes.
- Collaborate with application support teams to resolve recurring or escalated issues.
- Support project work, data readiness activities, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Work independently to address moderately complex business problems using incomplete or evolving information.
- Apply logical, structured problem-solving approaches to identify risks, propose solutions, and evaluate options.
- Participate in projects focused on systems, integration, or business process enhancements.
- Provide daily operational support, including customer service support and troubleshooting business and system issues across multiple functional areas (merchandising, procurement, accounting, retail stores, and plants).
- Manage data relationships and settings and implement changes to support business needs
- Execute work procedures while continuously driving toward greater independence in handling unique situations
- Analyze and interpret data to assess operational impacts and develop solutions based on business needs.
- Create procedural documentation, process maps, test scripts, and user acceptance testing as required.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong working knowledge of Albertsons Companies’ systems preferred
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills required
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task.
- Strong aptitude for technology and ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with reliable follow-through.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to apply logical steps to resolve moderately complex business issues.
- Technical proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation within Excel.
- Ability to run and modify SQL procedures (preferred).
