Job Description
Responsible for verifying that guests are 21 years and older, ensuring the safety and protection of the guests, employees and hotel/casino property.
Starting pay: $23.50 USD
Check identifications of all guests to ensure they are 21 years of age or older;
Enforce appropriate dress code of guests while in bar;
Respond to confrontational or combative situation and be able to diffuse the tension in a positive manner in accordance with Silver Legacy Security Department policies & procedures.
Answer questions from guests regarding Silver Legacy or the surrounding area to the best of your ability.
Regular, predictable attendance in accordance with department policy;
Other job related duties as assigned.
- Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to diffuse confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent

- Requires seldom sitting, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling.
- Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols, perform complex tasks, simple reading, math and complex writing skills.
- Requires the ability to see things spatially and with form, perform clerical functions, compile, coordinate, analyze and synthesize information.
- Requires the ability to supervise, instruct others, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorize, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision making skills.
- Requires communicating by two-way radio and telephone in English.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
