The Challenge

The Sr. Engineering Program Manager is a leader in implementing technical, platform initiatives that span across front-end and back-end solutions. These end-to-end initiatives have tremendous impact on our web visitor experience as well as systems and processes inside Adobe.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical program management background, has demonstrated experience leading projects, and has a well-rounded background in current digital marketing technologies and data management.

The Opportunity

  • Manage the development and implementation process for Adobe.com products and services, focusing on cross-platform tools and services
  • Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing platform capabilities
  • Responsible for projects from initiation through delivery including planning, schedule management, risk mitigation, and coordinating adoption rollouts
  • Lead cross-functional activities and teams, ensuring completion of high-quality projects on time and within budget

What you’ll do

  • Proactively drive program execution and associated scope, timeline, and resources with minimal guidance
  • Analyze scope needed to achieve program goals, assess resource requirements; lead change control
  • Develop detailed, complex, cross-team project or program plans that take into account all requirements, constraints, resources, and results associated with defined objectives
  • Aggregate, organize, and synthesize program and project information in order to communicate with extended team and management
  • Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired program outcomes
  • Coordinate and run operational, project, and executive check-in meetings
  • Work with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to build clear roadmaps/plans for products/initiatives and maintain those roadmaps/plans, drive to reduce the critical path
  • Continually evaluate existing processes and procedures and drive improvements
  • Perform risk management: identify, analyze, respond, and control risks, resolve project-specific issues and partner concerns in a timely manner
  • Deliver clear status communication to project teams, partners, and leadership teams
  • Assist Engineering Managers and Web Managers with resource assessment and release planning
  • Drive tactical decisions for projects that are under your direct responsibility

What you need to succeed

  • 6-9 years of program/project management experience and technical leadership, preferably with large enterprise web projects
  • Hands on experience with Agile & project management methodologies with confirmed leadership capabilities
  • Solid understanding of Web technologies, including web content management systems (preferably Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Workfront, JIRA, SharePoint, Wiki, and AI tools
  • Excellent business partner management and presentation skills

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $124,300 -- $234,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

 

In California, the pay range for this position is $162,000 - $234,600

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
