POSITION SUMMARY:
The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring guests enjoy fresh, spotless linens during their stay. This position is responsible for sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel linens while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the laundry area. The Laundry Attendant also inspects items for quality, assists the housekeeping team when needed, and ensures that all linens meet brand standards for presentation and cleanliness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens with care and efficiency.
Inspect linens for stains or damage and take initiative to resolve issues.
Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Ensure fresh, clean linens are delivered to housekeeping staff for guest use.
Assist the housekeeping team with additional tasks as needed to support daily operations.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining cleanliness standards.
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull for extended periods.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals, heat, and noise in the laundry environment.
REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Closed toe, non-canvas and non-skid soled shoes.
