Position: Assistant Supervisor

Department: BC Systems, Inc.

 

Summary: BC Systems, Inc is a distribution and cooling company of raw agricultural products. A Assistant Supervisor provides support to all staff who receives, ship, and inventory those commodities and related supplies.

 

Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:

• Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, dusty, and noisy conditions
• Ability to process all documents in both paper and electronic formats in a "real-time" environment.
• Ability to work day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day work week schedule.
• Full time positions are expected to travel throughout the year with the companies operations in California and Arizona.
• Acknowledge all types of carton materials, products and colors used in labeling
• Literacy required, English required
• Ability to monitor direct and indirect operations costs and compare to budgets
• Give tours as designated

Lead or Supervisory Responsibility:

• Meet all job description requirements for each of the positions that are direct reports
• Ability to lead employees assigned as direct reports
• Evaluate employees annually on their performance

Tools, Equipment & Measuring Instruments:

• Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• AS400 PRMS
• Familiarized with the cooling equipment.

 

Daily Tasks:

• Ensure execution of facility and equipment inspections including:

1. 12-Pallet and 6,000 # forklifts.
2. Vacuum tubes.
3. Loading dock restraints.
