Equipment Operator
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator in our Charlotte, N.C. office. As an Equipment Operator, you will serve as an integral member of our engineering team. Objectives of this role
- Operate a directional bore to install underground pipes
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed on construction sites
- Consult regularly with property owners, tenants, construction managers, and electricians
- Ensure all construction projects stay on schedule and are completed successfully
Responsibilities
- Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Direct day to day field activities including the use of machinery and equipment
- Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it
- Be able to inspect equipment before usage and safely operate each
- Driving or controlling equipment to complete tasks at the construction site
Skills and qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of construction procedures and equipment
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer skills including G suite knowledge
Work Environment
This job operates in a field environment. This role routinely uses standard field equipment and involves traveling to job sites.
