Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Echocardiography Technicians to support operations at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. Selected Technicians will support all aspects of cardiac ultrasonography in the medical center.
The practitioner must be competent in the production, use, recognition, and analysis to interpret preliminary results of echocardiograms and communicating abnormal results that require urgent or emergent physician intervention to the responsible cardiologist.

Responsibilities
- Provide the overall knowledge and understanding of normal/abnormal cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology including ability to analyze echocardiograms to detect abnormalities of LV wall motion and overall cardiac function, prosthetic valve function, presence of cardiac anomalies, awareness of findings relative to cardiothoracic surgical repairs and facility with pressure gradients/valve area calculations
- Understand the indications to use echocardiographic contrast (ie. Definity) and are able to give contrast per the VA Protocol
- Determine what measurements are needed for regurgitant lesions and know how to obtain good quality images (ie. PISA, continuity equation measurements)
- Maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the Echocardiography Laboratory
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees at varying levels
- Ability to provide, or provide for, staff development and training
Qualifications
- Completion of formal training program in dysrhythmia recognition and hold certification from such a course prior to performing cardiac Contract Monitor Technician services.
- Holds and maintains an active BLS certification
- Must be able to accomplish routine work with minimum oversight; required to perform duties on own initiative
Pay Range: $43.43 - $75.00 hourly
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
