What you'll do...
The Produce team collaborates across merchandising, supply chain, sourcing, and operations to optimize inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment for fresh fruits and vegetables. The team focuses on maintaining inventory freshness and health, managing product flow, and addressing supply and quality challenges to meet customer needs efficiently. Through data analysis, seasonal planning, and strategic execution, the team supports business goals while upholding Walmart’s commitment to quality, integrity, and operational excellence.

Whether it’s managing a budget, replenishing product, developing mods, reviewing performance, or building strategy, Merch Ops touches all aspects of Merchandising.
What you'll do:
- Drive sales, in-stock, and freshness performance through precise supply planning and supplier collaboration.
- Align seasonal and promotional forecasts while managing inventory flows to support modular transitions and peak demand periods.
- Lead root cause analysis and execute recovery plans to resolve out-of-stock, spoilage, shrink, and inventory health issues.
- Oversee produce product flow, ensuring alignment with business goals, freshness standards, and key performance indicators.
- Partner cross-functionally to optimize network inventory positioning while balancing freshness, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Provide strategic leadership by setting performance standards, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor and improve On-Time-In-Full delivery metrics through grower and supplier engagement, transportation coordination, and process enhancements.
- Support freshness and quality initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve shelf-life performance across the supply chain.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in inventory management, replenishment, and supply chain coordination, preferably within fresh or perishable categories.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven root cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic inventory and supply plans aligned with business goals and seasonal demand patterns.
- Experience collaborating effectively with growers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to optimize product flow and freshness.
- Demonstrated leadership in team development, mentoring, and performance management.
- Proficiency in managing inventory health metrics, including reducing understock, overstock, spoilage, and shrink.
- Skilled in utilizing inventory systems to support allocation, forecasting, and promotional planning.
- Understanding of freshness, quality, and shelf-life considerations within a fast-paced produce supply chain environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
