The opportunity

 Effective risk management is fundamental to the successful delivery of professional services and the protection of our brand. Our Risk Management team operates as a second line of defense, providing technical guidance, oversight, and processes that support service quality, mitigate litigation and reputational risk, and promote regulatory compliance.

As a Risk Management Associate, you will support the ongoing operation and enhancement of the firm’s risk and compliance framework across the MENA region. You will assist in ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, and contribute to ongoing monitoring, assessment, and reporting activities to minimise risk exposure.

Your key responsibilities

Supporting client‑serving teams on AML, Risk, and Compliance matters.

Supporting regulatory compliance in Jordan and providing assistance to other MENA locations as required.

Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the firm’s regulatory compliance framework, including policies, procedures, systems, and controls.

Monitoring key regulatory developments and proactively communicating impacts to the business to ensure timely updates to policies and frameworks.

Supporting the execution of compliance risk assessments, monitoring, and testing activities.

Assisting with regulatory and senior executive management reporting.

Supporting compliance audits and regulatory inspections, including the development and tracking of effective remediation plans.

Contributing to broader risk management and compliance initiatives as required.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply conceptual framework to new and unique situations
• Excellent business writing, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a busy, deadline driven environment and meet unexpected client demands
• A high level of confidence in dealing with senior executives and challenging situations

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business, or related field; Masters Degree or relevant professional qualification (i.e. ICA, ACAMS) preferred
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills

• 1-2 years experience working in an operational and/or regulatory compliance position within a professional services organisation or financial institution.
• Understanding of regional regulatory landscapes such as UAE, KSA, Qatar would be an added advantage.
