Your Role
As a Gensler Architect, it’s your job to lead a team of architects and technical designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. Leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build.
What You Will Do
Collaborate on projects across several practice areas
Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
Resolve complex technical and design issues
Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
Participate and/or lead in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
Accredited degree in Architecture
Licensed in British Columbia (AIBC)
12+ years of experience in a commercial design firm
Experience in core & shell architecture and interiors
Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictions
Understanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done
Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable; especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification

**The base salary range will be estimated between $105,000 - $130,000. Gensler’s total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
