The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Inventory and Planning Master Data Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead process improvement, execution, and governance for planning master data, including safety stock, lot size, lead time, and stocking status, to optimize planning performance
  • Create and maintain business group inventory financial plans, including operating plans, monthly estimates, and reconciliation of actual results
  • Drive the inventory reduction strategy for the business group by establishing, coordinating, and overseeing cross-functional inventory reduction initiatives
  • Oversee processes related to surplus and non-working inventory, inventory build requests, and performance tracking against inventory targets

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Eight (8) years of combined experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, sourcing and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government, or military environment 
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in planning systems, master data management, and/or data analysis tools in a private, public, government, or military environment 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working with SAP and Kinaxis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • ASCM certification, such as CPIM or CSCP
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to business outcomes
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership and change management skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams

Work Location:

  • This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $221,591 - $270,834, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
