Schedule: 5x8, Monday - Friday, with on call rotation.

How you’ll contribute
An Endoscopy Tech who excels in this role:
- Prepares Endoscopy suite with solutions, scopes, equipment and supplies.
- Ensures good working order of scopes and equipment.
- Validates that complete and current reprocessing of the scope has occurred for every procedure.
- Assists with preparing, transporting, and positioning patients.
- Passes scopes and supplies to assist the physician during endoscopy procedures. Continually accounts use of supplies during endoscopy procedures.
- Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
- Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and high level disinfection of scopes and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, ASGE, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.
- Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
Processes and documents all scopes and supplies using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation as required.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Additional requirements include:
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Surg Tech experience preferred
- Preferred Experience: EGD’s and colonoscopies
