Personal Assistant / Household Manager (Full-Time)
Switchboard is hiring on behalf of our client, a private couple in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, for a reliable, organized Personal Assistant / Household Manager. In this role, you will keep their household running smoothly through daily cooking, organization, errands, and personal support.
Our client is seeking someone with full time availability to assist with both household and personal needs, including planning and preparing meals. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, tech savvy, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a calm, professional way. We are looking for a warm, proactive person who enjoys helping others and naturally anticipates needs.
Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, full-time
Location: Near Baltimore’s Inner Harbor in a secure, luxury waterfront residence
Pay: $60,000+ depending on experience and qualifications (1099 independent contractor)
Key Responsibilities
Personal & Administrative Support:
Manage calendars, appointments, and daily schedules
Coordinate doctor visits and other personal appointments
Organize paperwork, medical documents, and household files
Provide medication reminders and assist with medication organization and refills
Maintain organization in home offices and workspaces
Assist with basic technology troubleshooting and support
Run errands as needed
Household Management:
Grocery shopping and household supply restocking
Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages throughout the day
Oversee household systems, routines, and schedules
Coordinate deliveries, service appointments, and errands
Maintain order and tidiness throughout the home (All deep cleaning is handled by a housecleaner)
Pet Care:
Help care for our 8-year-old mini-Berne doodle
Provide daily walks (multiple times per day) and feeding
Manage basic pet care and transportation to groomers or dog sitters as needed
Driving & Transportation:
Comfortable driving locally to appointments and errands as needed
Assist with logistics and transportation coordination for appointments
Qualifications
Prior experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, household manager, nanny, or in a similar role preferred but not required
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Trustworthy, discreet, and dependable
Comfortable with technology and basic troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable with dogs and experienced in pet care
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Our Interview Process
Email Questionnaire: Our recruiting team reviews resumes and will invite qualified applicants to answer position specific questions via email.
Recruiter Screen: Applicants who successfully respond to email questionnaire will be invited to a 30 minute screening call with one of our recruiters.
Virtual Meet & Greet: 30 minute Zoom interview with the client to meet them and learn more about the role.
In-person Interview: Finalists will be invited to an onsite interview with the client to view to meet them in person and visit the home.
Background Check & Drug Test: An offer for this role is conditional upon successful completion of a background check and drug test.
