Job Description
KXAN is looking for an Editor/Photojournalist who understands what today’s newsroom demands in 2026: versatility.
This role is more than just shooting or editing — it’s about being a complete content developer. From behind the camera to the keyboard to digital publishing, you’ll be part of every step of the storytelling process. You will be joining a highly recognized outstanding team, multiple team awards and individual accomplishments in the news industry.
What You’ll Do
- Shoot news video, interviews, and daily assignments in the field
- Edit content for broadcast newscasts and digital platforms
- Contribute daily to KXAN.com and social platforms:
- Photos
- Video
- Written content (as needed)
- Great team player
- Curiosity seeker out in the field, see something interesting, stop and find out what’s going on.
- Work closely with reporters, producers, and digital teams to build strong, complete stories
- Manage and maintain assigned equipment responsibly

Schedule & Work Environment
- Schedule will be set, but flexibility is required
- This is a field-based job:
- You’ll work outdoors in Texas heat and cold
- You’ll carry and operate gear regularly
