
Bioanalytical Chemist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bioanalytical Chemist to support the analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics in a laboratory setting. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on analytical experience who are comfortable working independently while maintaining high-quality standards in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics
- Independently operate analytical instrumentation, including:
- RP-UPLC
- RP-HPLC
- UV spectroscopy
- Prepare samples and standards for analytical testing with minimal supervision
- Execute routine testing and ensure accurate documentation of results
- Conduct monthly maintenance of laboratory instrumentation
- Support general laboratory operations and organization
- Adhere to cGMP guidelines and properly utilize LIMS systems
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
- 2–6 years of hands-on bioanalytical or analytical chemistry experience
- Experience operating chromatographic and spectroscopic instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a laboratory environment
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship
Preferred
- Experience with iCE (imaged capillary electrophoresis)
- Familiarity with CEX (cation exchange chromatography) and similar separation techniques
- Knowledge of compendial assays (USP/EP methods)
