Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Warehouse team, reporting to the Warehouse Director This role responsible for executing all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing of product for retail store delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing, and values-driven workplace.

This position is primarily based in our Greenpoint, Brooklyn office and follows an on-site schedule, dependent on role and business needs.

About the role

  • Staging inbound cartons by PO
  • Scan receive merchandise in the system and check against packing list for accuracy.
  • Scan pick back stock merchandise from location 
  • Scan pack merchandise into store cartons 
  • Close store cartons to ship via UPS
  • Scan receive end of the season merchandise coming back from stores
  • Put away merchandise by style, color and size into location 
  • Scan pick bulk and pick to carton for WEB orders
  • Scan pack orders and print packing list
  • Verifies quantities and items being shipped against the packing slip
  • Pack the items induvial in a tissue and place in a carton to ship. 
  • Substitutes for other warehouse personnel when needed. 
  • Able to meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent attendance record required.

What we are looking for

Skills & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret product labeling and shipping manifests
  • General knowledge of apparel and accessories product categories. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
  • Understanding of the wholesale or retail business a plus.
  • Ability to use basic computer programs 
  • Good communication skills and organization.
  • Ability to fold neatly
  • Experience and comfort using hand jack for movement of pallets
  • Ability to use hand tools, scanners, or forklifts (if certified)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders 
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to push, pull and move heavy items (pallets, carts, boxes)
  • Comfortable working in varied temperatures (hot, cold, or refrigerated warehouses)
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and equipment movement
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Pay Transparency & Disclaimer

$19 - $20/hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
