Country Representative – Strategic Campaigns & Policy
Job Description
Location: Remote (based in Latvia)
Contract: 12 months, full time, service agreement.
About Nidus Balticus
Nidus Balticus is the only organization in the Baltics that engages hard-to-reach audiences on energy and environment through unusual, yet politically efficient, alliances. We achieve this by forging partnerships with “unusual allies” - including traditional communities and local stakeholders - to activate their untapped environmental potential. By mobilizing this influence as policy pressure, we counter backlash, conserve the environment, and strengthen the energy independence essential to a more secure nation.
Nidus Balticus is part of Our Common Home (OCH) - a global network that brings those excluded from the climate movement into the conversation about protecting their environment, on their own terms. Our 10+ network organizations are active across four continents, supported by a global team providing world-class expertise in campaigns, impact measurement, research, and operations.
Nidus Balticus is looking for a highly strategic Country Representative in Latvia to serve as the driving force behind our campaign engine and policy engagement efforts. This is a senior, high-autonomy leadership role for someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of public affairs, advocacy, political strategy, and civic engagement.
In this role, you will shape strategic initiatives, cultivate high-level partnerships, lead policy dialogue, and act as the public face of the organization in Latvia. We are looking for someone who can independently identify political and societal opportunities, build influential networks, and translate complex policy dynamics into impactful public-facing campaigns.
You will report directly to the Executive Director and collaborate closely with the Chief Operations Officer, PR Manager, and other Country Leads.

Localization: Assist with the localization of social media content to ensure cultural and linguistic relevance.
Requirements
Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in managing campaigns and/or advocacy initiatives.
