Job Description

The Manufacturing Associate I will operate and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing of chromatography columns and resins while strictly adhering to safety protocols, ISO 9001 guidelines and standard operating procedures established by the site. They are responsible for preparing raw materials, monitoring processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, documenting activities, and collaborating with team members to ensure product quality and compliance are of the highest standard.

Responsibilities :

  • Adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures
  • Accurately documenting production activities on paper and electronic batch production records
  • Operating and maintaining production equipment used in manufacturing operations, including cleaning, preparation and hands-on application.
  • Identifying and addressing equipment stoppages or process deviations
  • Collaboration with other team members, leadership, supporting teams and customers   
  • SME on laboratory equipment and chromatography
  • Training others during daily tasks
  • Must have ability to perform job duties at multiple sites

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in team environments

  • Experience with the operation and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment (including pumps, reactors, UV detectors, pressure tanks, and various gauges/sensors) and operation of process-scale manufacturing equipment

  • Following written instructions from SOPs, BPR, EBRs and protocols

  • Associate degree, or certification in related field, 0-2 years of manufacturing work experience

  • Demonstrate motivation to learn and develop new skillsets  

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to read SOPs and communicate effectively

  • Must be fluent in reading, speaking and writing English

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs and push/pull up to 200lbs for short distances

  • Basic math and measurement skills for accurate material prep

  • Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Suite, including ability to work with electronic batch records.

  • Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Works independently and can lead complex tasks

  • Authors and reviews documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a classified cleanroom, and knowledge of GMP/ISO or regulated processes
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and be familiar with process control software
  • +2 years’ experience in Biotech manufacturing is preferred but not required.

The estimated hourly rate/salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $23/Hr. -$27/Hr. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
