Permit Technician I/Engineering Technician I (Commercial Team)

Who will I be working with? Permit Technicians (Engineering Technicians) on the Commercial Permitting Team will be working with Contractors, Engineers, Architects, Owners, Inspectors, Plan Review Staff, and other Agencies on most Commercial projects within Mecklenburg County. Interactions will be in person or via phone, e-mail, or text. What Will I Be Doing? Permit issuance; answering telephones and responding to emails to provide information to customers; staffing service points that require in-person interactions; scanning paper documents; issuance of temporary certificates of occupancy and certificates of occupancy; other duties as assigned.
