Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced GNC Lead Engineer to design, develop, and validate guidance,
navigation, and control systems for aerospace applications. This role will play a pivotal part in driving
innovation and ensuring the performance and reliability of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in aerospace engineering, extensive experience in GNC systems, and a proven ability
to lead cross-functional teams to achieve technical excellence.
What You’ll Do
Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of guidance, navigation, and control
algorithms for aerospace systems.
Develop simulation environments to validate system performance under various
operational scenarios.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of GNC
systems.
Conduct trade studies and performance analyses to optimize system designs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the GNC team.
Oversee system testing, including hardware-in-the-loop and flight tests, to verify and
validate system performance.
Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards, including ITAR and ISO 9001, in
all GNC-related activities.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders
and external clients.
Stay abreast of advancements in aerospace technology to incorporate innovative
solutions into system designs.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
(Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in guidance, navigation, and control systems
engineering.
Expertise in developing and implementing GNC algorithms and simulations.
Knowledge of weapon system navigation systems for terminal guidance including
multiple sensor technologies
Experience integrating multiple sensor technologies, including EO/IR and RF seekers,
into terminal guidance systems in tactical weapons
Strong understanding of control theory, sensor fusion, and navigation technologies (e.g.,
Autopilot, GPS, IMU).
Experience with system modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.
Experience with GNC test campaigns including HIL/SIL and Flight Test
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
Nice to Have
Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, including work on government
contracts.
Knowledge of advanced navigation systems, such as star trackers or terrain-relative
navigation.
Experience with machine learning techniques applied to GNC systems.
