The Sales Director is responsible for driving vehicle sales volume, revenue growth, and market share by leading strategic sales planning, optimizing go-to-market strategies, and managing a high-performing dealer network. This senior leadership role requires deep expertise in the Indonesian automotive market, a proven ability to build and sustain dealer partnerships, and the capability to translate commercial strategy into execution across regions. The Sales Director plays a critical role in shaping sales direction, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering business targets in line with the company’s growth objectives.
What You'll do:
1. Strategic Sales Leadership
• Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Drive achievement of sales volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Translate corporate strategy into actionable sales plans across regions.
• Lead business reviews and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
2. Dealer Network Management
• Oversee performance of the dealer network, ensuring alignment with brand and operational standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealership partners to drive retail success.
• Implement dealer development programs to enhance capability and performance.
• Conduct regular dealer audits, visits, and performance reviews.
3. Retail Execution
• Lead the design and rollout of go-to-market strategies for new products and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure effective retail promotions and launches.
• Ensure consistent execution of customer experience standards across all retail touchpoints.
• Monitor market demand and customer trends to inform tactical retail activities.
4. Sales Operations & Forecasting
• Oversee sales forecasting, vehicle allocation, and stock management processes.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels and healthy stock turnover across regions.
• Drive efficiency in the sales operations process through data-driven insights and system improvements.
5. People Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, coach, and inspire national and regional sales teams to achieve high performance.
• Set clear KPIs, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability.
• Identify talent needs and support succession planning and team capability building.
6. Market Intelligence & Reporting
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to guide strategy.
• Provide timely and accurate sales performance reports to the executive team.
• Leverage analytics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
7. Compliance & Governance
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
• Promote a strong compliance culture across the dealer network and internal teams.
• Mitigate operational and reputational risks through proactive governance and oversight.
About you
- Leadership & Management Skills
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead, coach, and develop large sales teams across multiple regions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence both internal and external partners, including dealers and executive leadership.
• Capable of making high-level decisions while balancing strategic priorities and operational details.
- Commercial & Analytical Skills
• Strong commercial acumen and business development mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
• Proficient in analysing sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive performance and inform strategic direction.
• Budget and P&L management experience
