Job Description
The entry-level Batch Plant Maintenance associate works as part of a team to maintain equipment to produce and deliver acceptable quality concrete to meet production schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Check rollers on both structural and architectural conveyors and change when needed.
Clean structural and architectural pits.
Repair air hoses as needed.
Switch out paddles and adjust when needed on the mixers.
Grease and maintain all equipment.
Perform a daily visual inspection of batch plant to identify when equipment is not functioning properly and correct errors.
Housekeeping as necessary to maintain Batch Plant, work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Reports to Batch Plant Concrete Delivery Supervisor or Batch Plant Concrete Delivery Manager, depending on location

EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY

JOB DESCRIPTION
WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE
Sheltered, outdoor environment
Work area is not climate controlled and may be exposed to changing weather and temperature conditions
Schedule varies with workload and location
Unscheduled overtime may be required depending on business needs
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
High-visibility vest
Hard hat
Gloves (various types)
Steel-toed shoes
Respirator required for certain tasks
Safety harness may be required for certain tasks
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and bending, repetitive motion with medium force, and an ability to frequently climb up to 15 feet above ground using stairs
