26/27 SY Instructor - Junior Reserve Officer Trainings Corps (JROTC) (2462)

Minimum Qualifications
1. Has knowledge of audiovisual presentation methods, curriculum planning, Navy educational programs, drill and ceremonies, and educational administration, including tests and measurements.
2. Licensing as established by Naval Service Training Command and the New Mexico Department of Education.
3. The Naval Science Instructor (NSI) must be certified for that position by Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) before being employed. After employment, the NSI must meet and maintain standards for continued certification as established by NSTC.
4. Self-direction, initiative, and self-reliance are necessary criteria for success.

Instructors should be dynamic and have an understanding of the physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth patterns of high school students. Must be of good moral character and have an enthusiasm for aerospace science, teaching, and the Navy.
