Job Description

Field Service Engineer, Europe


Job Summary

To join the EU field service team for installation, commissioning, and testing of rotating machine monitoring equipment with international OEM, utility, and industrial customers.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collect data at customer premises
  • Supervise and/or execute installation and commissioning of monitoring equipment
  • Conduct user training
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal departments
  • Write reports
  • Travel within the EU (50–75%)

Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably in rotating machines), or
  • Apprenticeship in electrical program focused on high voltage rotating machines
  • Senior-level experience is an advantage
  • Strong MS Office skills, with basic IT/networking knowledge preferred

Experience

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience (rotating machines, utilities, or industrial maintenance)
  • Experience with power diagnostic tools and electronic test equipment

Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to write detailed reports and deliver training
  • Cultural awareness and adherence to safety protocols
  • Strong customer focus

Languages

  • English (fluent)
  • Italian (fluent)
  • Additional European languages are a plus

  • Ability to stand for long periods

  • Willingness to attend training abroad for several weeks
  • Travel across Italy, Europe, and occasionally worldwide
  • Work environment includes power stations and industrial plants
  • Home-based role with extensive travel (50–75%)
