JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, International Cobrand Capabilities and Innovation, is a member of the International Cards team leading initiatives to improve and innovate digital and marketing strategies to support our International cobrand markets. In partnership with internal colleagues, bank partners, and agency partners, this role is responsible for identifying and developing new capabilities, channels, and placements across Marriott’s ecosystem that deliver on account acquisition and engagement goals.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

Required

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
  • Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units
  • Success in leading partnerships and navigating complex matrixed organizations

Preferred.

  • Member acquisition experience 
  • Project management experience
  • Proven track record of planning and leading both strategic projects and tactical execution of marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity
  • SEO marketing experience a plus

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

 

Marriott Primary Channel Card Capabilities and Innovation

  • Sets and champions our International Card Products’ vision across our digital ecosystem
  • Lead and influence strategies to drive portfolio growth for all of our International products in manner that is effective and relevant to market conditions and consumer preferences Support expansion of On Property and associate card acquisitions efforts 
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new capabilities across our channels
  • Plan, coordinate, implement and manage these strategies and capabilities across web, mobile app, email, and local channels

 

Support Key Markets Needs and Manages Priorities

  • Champions leaders’ vision for service delivery and priorities
  • Determines priorities, schedules, plans, and necessary resources to promote the completion of projects on schedule
  • Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results
  • Provides recommendations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of our marketing across owned channels
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems

 

Project and Program Ownership

  • Monitor the share of wallet, customer sentiment and benefits of each of the card portfolios
  • Partner with digital, insights and agency partners to develop and maintain cardmember lifecycle journey and templates
  • Own, maintain, and regularly share out a Best Practices repository for card marketing with our International Markets
  • Own, update, and improve the cardmember lifecycle journey through Service Emails
  • Support on New Market launch efforts as necessary
  • Oversee ad-hoc marketing projects as needed, to support Global Cards strategic goals
