Assistant Store Manager, Nantucket
Hill House Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist in leading the retail team in our Nantucket store. In this role, you will coach and develop a team of associates to provide a best-in-class shopping experience for our customers. The Assistant Store Manager will also be responsible for supporting the store’s daily operations including inventory management and reporting. This is a full-time, seasonal position from May-October with a retail schedule (including weekends.) Housing is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Must promote an engaging and positive work environment that fosters open communication, encourages teamwork and inspires others
- Ensure the sales associates and keyholders are providing best-in-class customer service to every person, every time in order to drive sales and exceed customer expectations
- Knowledgeable and proficient in technology in order to accurately and efficiently process customer transactions professionally and in compliance with HHH policies
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are executed and maintained to the company standard
- Resolve customer service-related issues using good business judgment and elevating as needed to Store Manager
- Develop, execute, and continuously improve store operations to make sure the store exceeds customer expectations
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, eCommerce, creative, and operations partners to address business goals and needs
- Assist in daily staffing plans - overseeing the sales floor and associates, ensuring all store associates are aware of product knowledge, visual changes, and current promotions
- Overall assist Store Manager in all retail store operations
