POSITION SUMMARY
The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for gathering, monitoring, recording and analyzing trends, results, and making recommendations related to IMMEX program management. The Trade Compliance Analyst will be required to provide guidance on procedures, policies, scheduling, demand management and sharing with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant Mexican import/export regulations and procedures; tariffs and duties; licenses and restrictions. The Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for execute FTA solicitation and qualifications, ensuring all necessary compliance documental support; Ability to explain the rules of origin of the different FTA signed with Mexico to internal colleagues and a strong knowledge of IMMEX management program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure trade compliance with organizational policies and applicable local, national, and international regulations.
Assist in executing import/export strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and requirements.
Prepare and analyze import and export paperwork documentation.
Strong communication with import/export department.
FTA qualification analysis.
Mexican and US tariff analysis.
Ensure compliance with insurance requirements related to import/export activities.
Utilize relevant ICT systems and tools to support import/export functions effectively.
Assist in maintaining certifications such as CTPAT, AEO, and VAT compliance.
Support the management and operation of Annex 24 and Annex 30 systems.
Collaborate with multiple business units to monitor inventory within MRP systems, identify variances, and suggest improvements.
Provide analytical support for import/export applications and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of Import and Export laws, government reporting, supply chain security regulations and tariff codes.
0 to 2 years of experience
Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure
Self-starter and ability to solve problems take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence.
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English and Spanish required (read, write and speak).
Good understanding of COO regulations, HTS classification procedures and database software (PSI, Excel, Access, etc.), Annex 24 management, AEO/C-TPAT knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
This position requires a two-year degree in International Commerce or related field as minimum.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
The role is primarily based on a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
