Job Description - Python Developer (5+ Years Experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with 5+ years of hands-on development experience to design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling development tasks with minimal supervision, following coding standards and secure development practices, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based backend services and applications.
* Implement REST APIs, service integrations, and backend business logic.
* Handle file processing, data ingestion, transformation, and validation workflows.
* Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues independently.
* Follow coding standards, code review processes, and secure coding practices.
* Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
* Participate in application deployment, monitoring, and support activities.
* Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.

Required Skills

* 5+ years of experience in Python application and backend development.
* Strong proficiency in Python and common development frameworks/libraries.
* Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
* Good understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
* Experience with file handling, data processing, and ETL-type workflows.
* Familiarity with coding standards, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
* Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of deliverables.
* Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

* Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
* Basic experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
* Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
* Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, or Azure.
* Understanding of logging, monitoring, and application performance tuning.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
