Scale House Attendant

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the scale house attendant / public drop off attendant is responsible for greeting all visitors to the site in a respectful and courteous manner. When functioning as a scale attendant you will determine which municipality vehicles are coming from, the type of waste they are bringing to the site and directing them to the respective areas.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
● Provide prompt and courteous service to both residential and commercial
customers.
● Directing visitors to designated areas on site for disposal of their materials.
● Weighing all inbound and outbound vehicles and entering information in TRUX
Weigh-It.
● Cashier responsibilities, handling cash and credit card transactions.
● Answering all incoming telephone calls.
● Data entry using Google Sheets..
● Creating and responding to emails.
● Assisting with directing the flow of traffic as needed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
● Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
● Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
● Ability to multitask.
● Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
● Has basic knowledge of Google (Gmail, Drive, Sheets)
