This Healthcare Administration Internship within the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) offers graduate students hands-on experience in behavioral health operations and intake processes. The intern will support individuals seeking mental health and substance use treatment while assessing current intake methods (e.g., phone, Microsoft Forms, email). As part of a LEAN-based process improvement initiative, the intern will evaluate workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend enhancements to improve intake management. The role also includes compiling and analyzing data to support reports on referrals, enrollment, and inquiry volumes. This experience provides exposure to healthcare operations, data-driven decision-making, and quality improvement in a clinical setting.
