Position Type/Title: Preschool Assistant
Current Available Positions (subject to change):
- Early Learning School - T & Th - 8:15am-11:45am
- Early Learning School - T-F - 8:00am-12:00pm
- Gleason Lake - M-F - 3:30pm-5:30pm
- Greenwood - M-F - 7:00am-8:30am
- Kimberly Lane - M-F - 3:30pm-5:30pm
Starting Wage: $17.52
Community Education Personnel Contract
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Preschool Assistant to join our team!
Position Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in creating a positive learning environment and providing high-quality instruction and care to our preschoolers. This is a school year position. Opportunities available for summer employment.

As a Preschool Assistant you will�
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Lead children in the development of language, motor, and social skills
- Lead age-appropriate, hands-on activities for 2-5 year old children
- Enforce policies and procedures set by the school
- Participate in professional development and other school-related activities
- Communicate daily with parents at drop off and pick up
- Foster an atmosphere of respect and positive reinforcement
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications�
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent preferred
- Has a passion for working with young children
- Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds
- Experience with the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model is beneficial
- Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation
- Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers
- Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements
