Ultrasound Technologist (Registry/Alternating Shifts)
Job Description
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing Franciscan Health Ultrasound Imaging, operating sonographic equipment to obtain images of patients' internal body parts to support diagnoses, and provide insight into medical knowledge. The Ultrasound Technologist works with and assists the physician in the performance of assigned procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures; Use imaging equipment that non-invasively emits sound waves directed towards internal organs, blood vessels, tissues and other structures.
Practice effective team functioning.
Provide education to patients and students.
Review test images to check for quality and sufficient coverage
Maintain records, respect confidentiality and integrate PI process.
Practice established safety guidelines, and utilize universal precautions and infection control.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ultrasound Certificate - Required OR Associate's Degree in Radiology or Ultrasound - Required
1 year Ultrasound - Preferred
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Registered Ultrasonographer (ARDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Required within 1 year, OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - ARRT (S) - Required within 1 year
