Job Description


Responsibilities

The role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient/family speech therapy needs for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years); maintains documentation on patient treatments. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate, assess, plan, and implement treatment according to the findings. Addresses educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; performs other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master Degree
  • Certified Speech Language Pathology (National) - Must obtain Certified Speech Language Pathology (National) within 24 months of hire.
  • Speech Language Pathology (KY)

Desired:

  • One year speech/language pathology in a healthcare setting.
  • Doctorate Degree
