
Principal Solutions Architect, Strategic Accounts
Job Description
As a Principal Solutions Architect, you'll leverage your technical expertise across multiple domains to influence customer technical strategies and roadmaps. You'll combine business acumen with deep technical knowledge to architect solutions that address significantly complex problems. This role requires someone who can operate with complete independence in ambiguous environments, decomposing complex challenges into straightforward solutions, and establishing yourself as a thought leader in the industry.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and drive technical strategy for a global technology customer, influencing their long-term business and technology decisions by demonstrating how adopting new technological capabilities can impact their business outcomes.
- Design and deliver large-scale architectures and technical solutions that solve significantly complex problems, creating new patterns and methodologies that can be leveraged across the organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customer leadership, asking strategic questions they aren't asking themselves and guiding them through technology transformation journeys.
- Lead cross-organizational initiatives requiring consensus and collaboration among many teams for successful solution delivery, effectively influencing and force-multiplying.
- Mentor other Solutions Architects, sharing expertise and best practices while fostering growth and development within the team

- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent
- Experience in cloud architecture and CXO level engagement
- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
