Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Video + Animation Associate to join our dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for storytelling through motion, a keen eye for detail, and the technical expertise to produce high-quality video and animation content across multiple platforms. In this role, you will work on a diverse range of projects – from sizzle reels, solution videos, video case studies, animated explainer videos, event highlight reels and branded content – ensuring our visual narratives resonate with our target audiences.
This is a global role and experience working and collaborating with regional teams would be preferable.
We expect you to work closely and under the guidance of our existing Video + Animation Specialist to ensure all day-to-day work is developed in collaboration and under the direction of the Head of Brand Creative, Global Marketing and the GSS Senior Designers. You will also be working with Marketing directors/managers and executives so experience of this would be preferable.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Video + Animation Specialist, Senior Designers, Head of Brand Creative and other team members to brainstorm, conceptualize, and develop compelling video and animation concepts.
• Support in the creation of detailed storyboards and animatics to communicate the vision and flow of projects.
• Plan, shoot, and edit video content using industry-standard software and equipment for various projects, including sizzle reels, solution videos, video case studies, animated explainer videos, event highlight reels, branded content, title sequences and visual effects
• Enhance raw footage with color correction, sound design, and motion graphics to create polished final products.
• Design and animate 2D and/or 3D elements for various projects, including sizzle reels, solution videos, video case studies, animated explainer videos, event highlight reels, branded content, title sequences and visual effects.
• Integrate motion graphics seamlessly with live-action footage where required.
• Working closely with the Video + Animation Specialist, Senior Designers, Head of Brand Creative and other team members, Marketing director/managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and objectives. Ensure client feedback is communicated clearly to the creative team and incorporated into the project deliverables.
• Ensure that all creative output adheres to brand guidelines, project specifications, and industry best practices. Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards across all deliverables.
• Provide feedback and creative direction and support for junior designers to ensure brand compliance, effectiveness and overall work quality. Provide a feedback framework for them to grow and develop.
• Daily collaboration with the creative and presentation team, along with responsibility for training and developing their skill set and aiding in their path to more video/moving image focussed work.
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all our pipeline + marketing projects
• Support the management of software and tools used by the creative team, including design software, project management systems, and collaborative platforms. Ensure the team is trained and comfortable using these tools. Be across design trends to make sure the most relevant ones are being used.
• Develop + maintain a strong relationship with internal clients/teams, and consistently strive to exceed their expectations.
• Develop + continue a good understanding of client brands.
• Manage client expectations and build reputation for video, motion graphics and animation.
• Support other team members in the pursuit of delivering the highest standard of service to the internal clients.
• Challenge creative briefs + timings where necessary to make sure work is delivered on time and to the brief.
• Attend and be punctual to all relevant meetings with internal clients and colleagues.
• Maintain composure under pressure.
• Take full accountability for your work to ensure that deadlines are met and implementation is to a high standard.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
• 2-4+ years of professional experience in video production, moving image, or animation roles, preferably within an agency or corporate setting.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating a range of work in video production, animation, and motion graphics.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex creative workflows and working across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to juggle numerous tasks at once and deliver all effectively.
• Ability to coach and develop members of the team.
• Work as a strong team player.
• Good planning and organising skills.
• Display confidentiality at all times with regards to HH Global + client businesses.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or other industry-standard animation and video editing software (Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya etc.).
• Solid understanding of video shooting, lighting, and audio recording techniques.
• Familiarity with AI-powered video tools like Runway ML, Stable Diffusion, or GenAI tools (a plus).
• Knowledge of video formats, compression, and rendering best practices.
• Strong eye for composition, typography, color, and movement.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visual narratives.
• Understanding of brand identity and motion design principles
• Strong storytelling skills with an ability to create engaging visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Excellent attention to detail in both creative execution and technical output.
• Experience with character animation, rigging, or VFX.
• Knowledge of sound design, music editing, or voiceover production.
• Basic understanding of HTML5 animations (Lottie, Rive, GSAP, or WebGL).
• Excellent organisational + time-management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with creative + non-creative teams effectively.
• Ability to balance creativity with process efficiency and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
