Job Description: Project Manager
Reporting: IND Manager

 

TASKS – ACTIVITIES – RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transferring of learnings and experiences with other nearshore/offshore wind farms, specifically within Vietnam and worldwide;
  • Network studies and grid connection experience with the relevant Authorities within Vietnam;
  • Wind Turbine, Balance of Plant and grid connection specialist capability, specifically within Vietnam;
  • Significant experience working with TSA, BOP and O&M contracts both in establishment and administration;
  • Strong Quality Management processes that will be applied to all facets of the project;
  • Strong [marine] civil engineering, electrical [MV &HV] experience and capacity and ability to review, validate and verify Contractors’ design and compliance with international and Vietnamese codes and standards.
  • Strong programming and commercial awareness and the capacity to expedite works as required by the Employer;
  • Strong safety and risk awareness and the capacity to diligently raise and assist in managing issues as they may arise.
  • An established network of wind farm specialists, contacts, sources and the like within Vietnam;
  • To ensure that the Project Contract(s) performance meets the specifications and requirements for the delivery of the Project, and to help the project achieve successful completion; and
  • An overarching assistance with and promotion of the mandate for a safe, timely and compliant project whilst avoiding deviations of scope, schedule and price.
  • Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring support


CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • University degree with Engineer or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with [near] shore wind farm projects and 10+ years of strong Project Management experience in offshore projects.
  • Direct involvement with all discipline engineers, QA/QC inspectors, planning engineers and technical center for technical advisors.
  • Must have the valid certificate of construction activity capability issued by Ministry of Construction.
  • Must have the valid license to operating electricity related to consultant, appraisal and design of power project.
  • Engineers must have a valid certificate (design or supervise…) according to their respective jobs.


TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Fluent in reading, writing & speaking English
  • Good command in office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …)
  • Can work independently under pressure
  • Can arrange to travel for inspection jobs
  • Strong leadership skills – able to lead and manage a team
